Day 3
Thank you Sharon Denning for the wonderful update from Wednesday, and Lee Conroy for the beautiful photos. ๐คฉ
Great matches played today. Maurice came off court looking exhausted after battling for a 3-1 win. Jake gave us all a good scare in his first match of the day. He was up two games, but his opponent won the next game and was up in the fourth. But Jake finished strong to win 3-1. Show court had a repeat of the QMSA State final, with another battle between Martin McBride and Peter Vogler. Martin took his revenge and won 3-0. Chyrel showed determination in her match this afternoon, with her shots on point, to win 3-0. Janelle dug deep. She was two games down and 0-2 in the third before she clawed back to win in five. Gino showed classed to win 3-0. He is still undefeated and has yet to drop a game.

Day 2
Here is Tuesday's update from Sharon Denning, and photos from Lee Conroy.
Oh What a day!! Day 2 of the Australian Squash Masters brought out people's A game. It was the battle of the high serves and perfect boasts on Court 10 with Robyne Bamberry playing Christine Cooper. Robyne's determination and famous lob serves gave her a 3-0 win. Court 9 had Wendy Willett gain a win 3-0. Her serves were on point and the deadly reverse boasts. The action continued on Court 1 with Tony Webb victorious in a massive 5-game match winning 17-15 in the fifth. Queensland reigns again on Court 7 with Mick Swan making it two wins out of two. One of the major highlights of the day was watching Kasey Bonato vs Karen Blom. The third game was epic. Kasey kept her cool. She was 1-10 down, and clawed back to 9-10, before Karen won the game. Kasey managed the upset of the day winning in five. Mitchell Stafford was the comeback king today. Two games down, down 3-5 in the third, he come back to win the match. This afternoon brought more of the winning feeling for us Queenslanders, with Marissa, Pat, Helen, Janelle, Kay, Marilyn, Brian and Peter Z notching up wins.

Day 1
Here's an update from Sharon Denning about the highlight of the day. ๐คฉ
Monday, day 1 of the Australia Masters Squash Championship showcased wonderful Queensland talent. One epic match early in the day was a repeat of the QMSA State Titles with Mitchell Stafford and David Champion duelling it out. The score was 3-0 to Mitchell but the score doesn't reflect how close it was or the determination of both players. Mitchell was down 3-9 in the second game and came back to win 11-9. Everyone was holding their breathe during each rally as it was very exciting to watch two great players. Well done to everyone that played, looking forward to some more epic matches tomorrow.
